Savannah welcomes...
with
filtered light through canopies of gnarled oaks,
garlands of Spanish Moss undulating with a sweet, slow dreaminess,
a faint breath of melancholy and barely-heard, haunted whispers.
with
sinuous ironwork, candy colored azaleas
her gracious days and sultry nights

ReplyDeleteYour photos are gorgeous! There is so much past history from the south I will bet it seeps out of the walls and old trees. I always wonder about the stories and the people who inhabited the old places and walked under the same old trees I find myself under. There is a lot of small details in your photos that add to the collective charms of all your subjects. Its all in the detail!! Looking forward to more pictures!!

ReplyDeleteI love the way you worded this post it complements your images so well. How fascinating to take a mini tour here and feel the Southern American spirit in all the photos. You really do capture the essence of all you photograph. I'm sure those who you take the images for must be more than happy with your results.
I admire how your style equates to not just florals but buildings too.
I enjoyed seeing the architecture and all the detail of planting and flowers. The fence with the heart in the post beneath is so cute!
