Dear January,

I'm glad you're here,

Unveiling the pristine path of a new year,

mantled in misty unknown 
but beckoning with possibility. 


Allowing me deep breaths and still moments,
to say that was then 
and this is now 
and there ahead lies what can be. 


Bringing days, that, in their often bleakness,
inspire resolve to journey onward, 
bright with newness.
